“The Male Gamer and the Transness of Lara Croft”

Written for a special issue of Feminist Media Histories on the 30th anniversary of the original Tomb Raider, this article takes seriously two things: that Lara Croft is trans, and that I, a trans masculine games scholar and game maker, was a male gamer.
